My Approach

My style of therapy is comfortable and collaborative. This means that I will work with you at your pace, to explore difficult subjects and gain insight into limiting thoughts and behaviors, feel and express emotions in healthier ways, process and heal from past traumas, and improve communication and quality of attachments. Good therapy is hard work. I will do my very best to walk through it with you.

I am trained to work with patients across the lifespan. While I primarily work from psychodynamic theory and practice, I am also competent in several cognitive behavioral treatments if you require, or desire, more concrete skills and techniques for symptom relief and faster behavioral change. As such, I will collaborate with you to create a treatment plan and psychotherapy experience that meaningfully meets your individual needs, in the short term and the long.
