Cancellation Policy: Once an appointment has been scheduled, please provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel. If you request to reschedule less than 24 hours from the scheduled session, I will make every effort to find an alternative time within the same week. If we are unable to do so, the session will be charged in full.

Insurance: At this time, as an out-of-network provider I do not directly accept payment from insurance companies. However, you may be able to be reimbursed for services by your insurance company.

If you have out-of-network benefits, I will accept payment when treatment is rendered and will provide you with a detailed statement (“Superbill”) that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

It is helpful to call your insurance company before your first visit so that you understand your out-of-network benefits. Here are some questions to ask your insurance company:

  • Do I have out-of-network benefits?

  • Do I have a deductible that I must first meet? If so, how much is it? How much of it have I already met?

  • Is there a separate deductible for mental health treatment?

  • How many sessions are covered per year?

  • How much does the insurance company reimburse per session?

  • How do I submit claims? How much time do I have after a visit to submit my claim?

Psychologists communicate to insurance companies about the type of treatments they provide by using what are called "CPT Codes." If your insurance company asks what CPT codes you will be seeking reimbursement for, ask about the following CPT codes: Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluation 90791 and Individual Therapy 90834 or Couples/Family Therapy 90837.

Your insurance company may tell you that there is no need to go out of network because their network includes a number of therapists. Why see an out-of-network provider? Read more here.
